Teenage Author's Stunning Debut Novel

15 year old Callum Duffy officially launched his debut novel on Sunday 26th January, in a packed hall at Broughty Ferry New Kirk.

Callum talks about To Kill The Truth at the book launchTo Kill The Truth is topically set in pre-referendum Scotland. It is a fast paced tale of political skulduggery and the efforts of three people to find out and reveal the truth as the referendum debate falls into a spiral of spin and misinformation. What lengths will the state go to kill the truth?

Callum, who is a member of the 44th Dundee BB Company, said, "Politicians don't always give sCallum signs copies of To Kill The Truth at the book launchtraight answers and this book is an adventure of three people trying to find and reveal the truth. It questions the very nature of democracy, as they get chased around the country by the power of the state. Will they find out what is going on and be able to reveal the truth?"

He continued, "The book was published just before Christmas and sales have been encouraging. More encouraging have been the fantastic feedback and reviews I have been receiving. A couple of people have suggested that the book could be adapted into a screenplay. It is gratifying to know that people are enjoying the book so much."

Callum signed books as all copies of the book available on the night sold out.
